July 28th

Wallaceburg to Port Stanley Ontario. 81 miles, 2906 miles from the Pacific. A great day to be on the bike. the wind was in my back most of the day and the countryside was flat. Beautiful stone and brick farm houses dotted the landscape. Big wind mills spin like giant fans in the stiff breeze from lake Erie. I meet several bikers today. Valerie and Luke from Switzerland are having lunch and I stopped to chat for a while. They have bicycled through India and USA this year. They mentioned that it was 126 degrees in death valley. Ouch.
Take care. Freebird

  1. I was afraid you were going to go north of London. The route you are on is the pretty one in that part of Ontario. London and north makes Wisconsin look mountainous. It is not exciting at all. I hope you have time to enjoy the Welland Canal and Niagara Falls when you get there.

  2. Awesome progress Mike. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us. Sorry I missed you when you were in Stoughton.

  3. Glad to hear you are doing well back on the road again. 🙂 A quote I have on my bathroom mirror that reminds me of you is: “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you’ve imagined.” Everyone I tell about your trip thinks you are crazy, but I think everyone that knows you is not surprised that you are living one of your dreams. Thanks for teaching me to be a dreamer too.
Love ya. Have fun in Canada ay. P.S. We had a good time at the cabin.

  4. Keep up the good work! Sadie and I are thinking of you a lot. Enjoy every minute of your great adventure and next time don’t keep riding when you hear strange noises! Hope the bike is going well now again and that there are no more technical issues until you hit the coast!
