Tissano Italy to Grado Italy where I reached the Adriatic Sea

Yesterday I had big plans to try to make it to Grado, but the heat and wind changed those plans for me. By mid afternoon I was beaten and horse was tired too. So we pulled into a little town on Tissano hungry and ready to call it a day. I had a sandwich and ice cream at a little store and noticed a Villa across the street. I parked horse outside and went inside to see if they had a room. Sure enough, someone had just canceled so in we went. Horse spent the night in the Villa garden and I got the room with a pool table. This morning I pack up and headed toward Grado before the heat of the day set in. Yesterday’s wind had turn 180 and was now at my back and the trail was mostly down hill to the sea. {CAPTION}

  1. Well done Mike! You made it all the way, safe and sound. That was quite the villa suite you had in Tissano – but you deserved a treat by that point. No doubt a bunch of conflicting emotions when you dipped the wheel in the Adriatic – you know it from previous trips. Anyway, it’s been great following your journey. You’ll have to share what you end up doing around Grado and what route your journey home takes. Congratulations and enjoy all those memories!

  2. Congratulations Mike!! I recall you saying that you didn’t have a return flight yet (this was before you had left the US). Is this the end of the ride, or does the adventure continue?!
