I was having trouble understanding the dogleg north until I noticed the line through Manitowoc and Ludington. I spent much of the summer between my junior and senior years in high school in Grand Rapids at a National Science Foundation program, so I thought you were just trying to get as far away from it as you could … a good move based on my experience. I am sure it must be better now, but is was pretty boring then. Of course, it made learning math, physics and chemistry more exciting by comparison.
