June 22 nd Glacier NP

I picked up Cheryl from the Missoula Airport late Thursday night. we spend a long weekend exploring Glacier National Park via a rental car. it felt weird driving a car after eight hundred miles on a bicycle. how do you pedal these things was my first thought. the park was beautiful with lots of new snow on Logan’s pass. Waterfalls were everywhere because the snowpack was just beginning to melt. the Highway to the Sun opened a day before we got here. luck of the Irish timing on that one. we hiked Avalanche Creek and Cedar Ridge. so beautiful. not many tourist here yet so it made exploring the park much easier. we had a great weekend together and it was nice to catch up on some much needed rest. Back on the bicycle tomorrow for me, and the airplane for Cheryl.
the pictures are from Glacier National Park – enjoy

You are most definitely living the dream. This sounds like a fabulous experience. Probably to many memories to document. The pictures are great and the stories will keep me checking the blog every day. Today was my first to open your blog after hearing about your ride from Brother Jim this morning.
My bicycle has been collecting dust while I try to finish my Cobra. Last weekend was a real bummer after spending every spare minute getting it ready for a four day cruise in Western Wisconsin. Two major problems tested my patience. An engine that wouldn’t start and an insurance company that couldn’t come up with a policy in time. Lynn and I still had a great trip taking in the beautiful Wisconsin scenery along the Mississippi River. It helped that for a few days I kept calling my Honda Accord a Cobra. I will do my best to finally get the Cobra on the road and try to track you down when you cross through Wisconsin, hopefully in two to three weeks.
