Columbia hills st park to mary hill st park Washington 23 miles. 248 miles from the Pacific. Nice easy day with a short ride. Got some needed rest today and took it easy. The nice folks at the camp ground made life easier. I have met a lot of really good people. Did some laundry. Bought some fresh peaches and strawberry for a roadside stand. Washington fruit is in season. Cooler today and the strong wind from the gorge at my back. I am feelings stronger every day. Pretty wild flowers every where and lots of wineries. Tomorrow is a long haul to Umatilla Oregon up the Columbia. I am living the dream. Thank again for riding with me 🙂 sorry no pics my web guy is working on the issue.

I can almost taste the juicy, sweet peaches Mike. Keep up the good work. Being on the road is good.
We are getting all the rain here although Beth and I made the round trip to Mayer on Saturday with the smokehouse in the middle of the 60 mile ride.
Bigger news on Saturday, Nick’s son Evan was born and is home as of last evening. What cutie.
Keep flying,
Marty

Motivational Quote for the Day:
The trick is in what one emphasizes. We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same – Carlos Castaneda
(Not sure if this guy was ever on a bike from Portland to Maine, because I doubt the amount of work is the same 🙂
Eat healthy!
Yikes! That’s a long ride. Hope you have a strong tail wind all day. Following you on Google maps each day. Thanks for posting and letting all of us ride with you in our minds.
